There are several types of Keno tickets to play with. The Keno game has a number of variations to be played. And when buying keno tickets, there are various options to choose from. Some of the commonly used Keno Tickets are explained.
Keno Split Tickets
Keno split ticket allows the keno player to play a number of games on the same keno ticket by splitting the ticket. The drawback of this method is that the player is not allowed to use the same number in both groups. The numbers in one section of the keno split ticket must be played together. Keno split tickets are basically two straight tickets on a single keno card. The best advantage of the keno split ticket is that it allows you to play two or more games on the same ticket.
Keno Way Tickets
A keno way ticket is just like a straight ticket but it is cheaper. Straight tickets allow you to pick the number you want while the way ticket allows you to pick multiple sets of numbers. Keno way tickets give the player the chance to play more than one ticket at once. Way tickets contain a number of separate bets and a player can win on any or all of them on a single game.
Keno Combination Tickets
Keno combination tickets allow you more ways to win on a single ticket than any other keno tickets. Also it is a lot cheaper than all the various combinations on single tickets. Keno combination or combo tickets are like split tickets in that they allow a number of straight bets to be combined on the same ticket. The keno combination ticket allows the player to join a number of straight bets on the one ticket or straight and way bets together.
Keno Straight Tickets
The keno straight ticket is the simplest keno ticket. The player just selects the numbers he wishes to play. Usually a player can select maximum of 15 numbers. Then the player chooses how much to bet. Typically when playing a keno straight ticket, most players play between four and eight numbers because the best keno odds lie in this.
Other Keno Ticket Types
Besides the well known keno ticket types such as straight tickets or way tickets there are a number of other keno tickets also that a player can select from.
Keno King Tickets: The Keno King ticket is one where a number is circled which is referred to as the King. The appeal of the king number is that it is not used alone but along with other numbers to make up straight, way and/or combination tickets.
20-Spot Tickets: The player selects 20 numbers and has as many as 18 ways to win. The only way he doesn’t win is if he matches up 4, 5 or 6 numbers.
Top/Bottom Tickets: The player selects number one half of the ticket either the bottom half or top half. To win, the player has to match up with at least 13 numbers. The more numbers you match up, the bigger the payout is.
Edges Tickets: The player chooses the numbers around the edges of the keno ticket. With eight rows of 10 numbers, there are 32 numbers on the edge.
